It’s a good time to be a mountain biker in BC. In just about every community across the province trails are being developed and enhanced, providing seemingly endless options for all levels of riders. Here’s an interview with a long time Pinkbike member, and an amazing action sports photographer, Joshua Weber. Josh is currently located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where he is completing his fourth year of electrical engineering.

We’re back at the Forest of Dean again and what a turnout, 250 riders and glorious sunshine. After weeks of freezing temperatures, snow and rain it felt like Benidorm. Crowd control in place and for the first time ever here in the U.K, we had 10 year olds on track in the “Rippers” category!

I have started making some short 2-3 min videos of some of the local riders in my area, there is a lot of talent around and a lot of great tracks down here in Devon to so it makes sense to showcase it. I also have some still images of the shoots and thought a quick interview with the riders would give you an idea of what they are like behind the lens and goggles…

I have been shooting videos for a while, I got bored with 3 minute videos that never lead anywhere and showed no progression. So I had the idea, why not make my own Webisodes?
I know a lot of good riders from my area, and I wanted to showcase that talent in video form. So I got out my old camera and got shooting!

What better a start to the year than some good ole fashioned Black Run downhill racing at Aston Hill. The Black run remains one of the most challenging downhill tracks in the South East, with its combination of tight switchbacks, roots, drops and some newly added “flow”. Race support will be provided by Xtreme Medics and Mikrotime. We all know it’s all about Troy Lee, he’s got style. Something he inherited from his Dad Larry Lee from the pics I’ve seen. He’s now teamed up with Leatt, the “Helmet for your neck” people and what a collaboration this is. These are so shiny that Puff Daddy and Paris Hilton are already on the waiting list for one.
